Robin Gibb is one of the major figures in the history of British music. With his three brothers he co-founded the group, the Bee Gees, and together they developed a unique sound that resonates as powerfully today as it did 30 years ago.

Born on 22 December, 1949 at 3:15 am in Douglas, Isle of Man, he was a sun Sagittarius with Scorpio rising and the moon conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius.

If you ask me where his musical genius is to be found, I'd have to say it is a mystery: like all great gifts, musicality lies outside the confines of a horoscope. What we can see from the angular Venus-Pluto opposition and Scorpio rising is that he was a passionate man, and while music was indeed his great and lasting love – he died shortly after completing his first classical work, The Titanic Requiem - he was an ardent student of history and politics.

His sun-Uranus opposition reveals his ability to take risks, and to blaze trails whether in music or his personal life – his second marriage to Dwina, a member of the Hindu sect, the Daughters of Brahma – was unconventional to say the least.

He died after a long struggle with colon cancer, and as progressed Venus came within orb of his Jupiter. He thus left the real world, no doubt in his own heart and mind with much left to do, but in true Jupiterian spirit to begin another great adventure.
