About Penny

Penny Thornton is an astrologer and author. Classically trained by the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, she was awarded its Diploma in 1977. Over the years, she has taught and lectured in the UK, Europe, Australia, and North America, and she now offers her own introductory course on astrology. Her clients come from all over the world and all walks of life. In 2019 she began a weekly video series on YouTube, bringing real astrology to the masses.

Penny has had eight books published including Synastry, the astrology of relationships – considered a benchmark in the industry- and most recently Astrology in the Workplace.

She combines her work as a serious astrologer with a popular role, writing columns for magazines in the UK and Europe and appearing on television. She presented a daily spot on astrology and food for the Food Network in the US in the mid-1990’s, which led to her seventh book, The Zodiac Cooks.

In the year 2000 she established Astrolutely.com, now one of the top astrology sites in the world.

In her former life, Penny was a member of the Royal Ballet Company.

Penny has had eight books published including Synastry -considered a benchmark in the industry- and most recently Astrology in the Workplace. Additionally, now offering her own Introductory Course -Astrology, the Building Blocks- as well.

She combines her work as a serious astrologer with a popular role, writing columns for magazines in England, Poland and Australia and appearing on television. She presented a daily spot on astrology and food for the Food Network in the US in the mid-1990’s.

As a child, Penny attended White Lodge in Richmond Park, London. She would then go on to be a full member of The Royal Ballet, performing at Covent Garden’s Royal Opera House and places beyond.
