The Summer Horoscope - 2013

Are the lazy, hazy days of summer upon us or do the stars have more mischief in mind? Well, the planets don’t hibernate simply because it’s holiday time for half the globe. The work of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto et al must go on. However, the summer has its beautiful moments, largely due to a divine alignment linking the signs of Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio. Of which more shortly.

Since 2013 began the biggest planetary change has been the entry of Jupiter into Cancer (26 June), which will give members of this sign something wonderful to celebrate in the next twelve months, as it will the Capricorns, Arians and Librans. Think of Cancerian Prince William and Capricorn Kate who can look forward to a sweet bumper bundle in July.

Those of you born in 1990, 1978 and 1966 will experience a Jupiter-return in the coming months, which should reboot your confidence and encourage you to embark on new ventures. If you think back some twelve years, you’ll get a flavour of what is to come between now and next summer.

In general terms, while Jupiter transits Cancer, house prices are likely to rise, and the property market improve; we should find many more women occupying prominent roles on the world’s stage; and if you’re thinking of developing an on-line business, you won’t go wrong with one aimed at children, motherhood, home-decor, domestic products and care for the elderly. There could also be important breakthroughs in the understanding and treatment of cancer, especially breast and ovarian cancer.

One of the summer’s most important planetary events will be the Jupiter-Pluto opposition of 7 August. I don’t want to get too technical here, but this aspect is going to play a vital role in international affairs from late July to May of next year. If you think the Euro crisis has gone away, it hasn’t; and the current reticence on the part of the West to get involved in Syria is only temporary.

Jupiter-Pluto combinations also have an effect on royal houses: the recent hand-over of power from Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands to her son, Willem-Alexander is one such example, and we may see this repeated in other royal families – Queen Elizabeth appears to be in the process of giving more responsibility to Prince Charles, and, of course, there will be a new heir to the British throne to celebrate.

Just how the Jupiter-Pluto opposition will affect you personally depends upon your individual horoscope, but if, during the summer, you experience a windfall of some description, you’ll be able to thank this planetary couple. And if you have an interest in the stock market, oil may be a commodity you’ll want to buy into.

Now, for the divine alignment. When three or more planets are aligned in a perfect triangle, it becomes a Grand Trine. Anyone born under a Grand Trine will have a special gift, and a responsibility to use that gift for the benefit of others. So, any babies born this summer, but especially those who arrive between 8 and 22 July have the potential to become names in the future, and certainly need to be encouraged to develop their talents.

In your individual forecasts I have referred to this configuration, which should generate joy and good fortune for so many of you. And even those who see the summer come and go with no great and good development should bear in mind that the seeds of this alignment have been planted, and will bear fruit a little further down the line.

Enjoy your summer, and take the time to look up at the stars when you can.
