The Week Ahead for Capricorn

This is the second week in a row in which the stakes have rarely been higher, whether in regard to national and global events or those in your own life. This week, Mars hooks up to Pluto, and with a full moon to come (Sunday), what happens at this time could and should mark the end of a chapter. Finances are in the frame for many Capricorns, whether you’re faced with unexpected expenditure or dealing with financial institutions, but whatever represents a mountain to climb, climb it you will. Sometimes you have to be ruthless; sometimes tough love is the only way.

It’s often at this period of the year that we lose our enthusiasm for the ideas we had over the holidays, but this is the moment for a reboot. Maybe unexpected developments have got in the way of implementing your plans or perhaps everything just seems too hard, but the Capricorn Goat doesn’t get deterred simply because there are obstacles in the way. Double down on your ambitions and even though a route may have run out or it seems you lack the necessary resources, there will be a way through. Don’t get caught up in what-might-have-been but on what is to come.

Venus remains in your sign until the 17th making this a pivotal period for affairs of the heart. It may take until the new moon (18th) for you to reach a decision, but once it’s made, things will move apace. For many Capricorns the issue is about a relationship – are you in or out? You are a sign that usually puts head over heart, but not so now. Your happiness and ability to thrive are paramount. Finances are another big deal, and the week of the 19th is a corker. You could come into money unexpectedly or you may find expenditure has outstripped income! Balance in all things…

The Year Ahead for Capricorn
A full moon within days of the New Year sets the tone for 2026. It is a year in which there will be many endings but also some glorious beginnings. Jupiter continues to bring good people into your life, whether for business, friendship or romance, and it is the year of marriage for many Capricorns… There is a strong focus on family too and on finding your roots whether that means tracing your ancestry or getting a (new) home. And in the process of a home move or a family gathering information could surface that casts a new light on the past.
