The Week Ahead for Libra
Monday, May 11th – Sunday, May 17th
Saturday’s new moon opens a fresh chapter for finances, more specifically the financial responsibilities you share with others – partners, banks and fiscal institutions. A new contract or a new commitment, perhaps, then again, this area has a lot to do with intimacy and the give and take involved in close relationships, so a new love affair or rekindling of passion could be on the horizon. Uranus is also in the mix so there is an element of surprise to the week ahead. Certainly, if you’re intending to travel long-distance by air, be aware there could be detours and delays.

Monday, May 4th – Sunday, May 10th
Libra may be the sign of balance and harmony but you can argue for the planet. Your instinct to put forward an alternative view sometimes needs to be overridden. This week is a case in point. With Mercury squaring stationary Pluto, arguments are more likely to end acrimoniously so pick your battles and don’t press anyone’s sensitive buttons. By contrast, this is a good week to get to the bottom of a problem, to establish what is causing it or preventing the growth of a perfectly good project or alliance. Be objective but not insensitive.

It’s not like you to withdraw into your shell, but sometimes being a people-pleaser is not just hard work but counter-productive. You need time and space to get to the bottom of a situation. For many Librans, that situation is money-shaped and more funds need to be found and/or a more favourable agreement made. For others, an affair of the heart is going through a difficult time. While you don’t want to lie down and let someone walk all over you, giving other people their sovereignty – allowing them to make the choice – is more likely to deliver a happy ending.

There were hints of things to come last year, and they are here with bells on in 2026… Uranus will establish itself in an area in which it can broaden your horizons in a variety of ways – travel, skills and experience – enabling some of you to spread your influence and attain a higher, even a global profile. Yet both these planetary changes will involve disruption. You may have to make a long-distance move or end a partnership, but what is in store for you necessitates a sacrifice. Front of the queue here are September-born Librans; the October birthdays have a smoother ride yet not quite as many dreamy events.
