Ruled by mystical Neptune, Pisces is the most romantic sign of the zodiac. You have the stuff of romance flowing through your very veins. From the moment you heard your first fairy tale you were caught up in the magic of those princesses locked in towers and princes rescuing them. Somehow, you have never quite rid yourself of the notion that there is a special someone for you, a soul-mate, someone who will go through fire and water to claim you. And if anyone can find their soul-mate, you can. The trouble is you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find him.
In your quest for the Holy Grail, perfect love, you can go through many disastrous love affairs and possibly a marriage or two. And you suffer a lot. You give your all to the man you're in love with; you trust him and abandon friends, jobs, ambitions, and a few principles too, in order to keep him. Caught up in the hormonal rush of lust, you lose all sense of perspective and convince yourself that this is HIM - you have a repeat prescription for rose-coloured specs. It may take years before you realize that you made a mistake.
There are several routes out of the maze of illusion, betrayal and rejection - one of them is to turn your watery nature into ice, thus living a celibate existence and channelling your loving energy into other pursuits; another is to martyr yourself to a troubled and unfulfilling marriage, pining and withering on the vine. Many celestial Fish opt for either of these two courses. But there is a third way. By accepting that all human beings are flawed, and that we only truly find the heaven in another person once we have exited this earthly realm is a good start. No one person can make our lives for us: we must do that ourselves, but we may find someone who can share the journey with us. In working with the reality of a relationship and tossing out the dream factor you could find that you do indeed have a prince of a guy. And if anyone can find him, you can.
Pisces men come in all shapes and sizes but they have one thing in common, they will all have a tale of tragedy to tell you. They are great story-tellers, serious romantics and very difficult to pin down. When you go fishing for a Pisces man, you'll need sonar equipment and a wet-suit: he is elusive and slippery, and he'll drive you mad. Truth is very much as he sees it at the time, so don't expect him to be reliable and consistent. He's not the most faithful of men, either, but he has a reason: you. You didn't care enough or you did something that he cannot fully explain, but you caused it. Of course, he has many redeeming qualities: he is deliciously sexy, sloppily sentimental, kind and caring. He needs a woman who will earth him and make sense of his dreams. If that's you, go to him: you'll never have a dull day in Neverland.
Who's For You
You are not the type to be limited to only a handful of signs but as a general rule of thumb you will be drawn to signs that belong to the Mutable family - Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. The Sagittarian really floats your boat - this man has all the confidence, fire and spirit of adventure that you crave. He is very commitment shy so getting to the altar can prove lengthy and circuitous, and once you're together he may totally blow your fuses when it comes to security and fidelity, but at least you'll never be bored. Mr Gemini has other ways of keeping you guessing: it's this man's mind that fascinates you, and his dark side, yet in the long run you may find he is too emotionally unavailable and verbally cruel. Virgo is your opposite number so you have many similarities and many sharp differences, all of which go to make you deeply attracted to each other, and able to sustain a long and abiding union. Anther Pisces is either a dream come true or a total nightmare - it depends how well you understand yourself and how much projection there is involved in the relationship. Taurus and Capricorn are two other compatible signs - they stabilize and contain you.

The Year Ahead for Pisces
Most Pisceans saw improvements last year, and even if the results of efforts, especially those made in mid-to late 2013, have not yet yielded fruit: they will. With Saturn’s backing throughout 2014, you can build your future, brick by brick. This could manifest quite literally for some Fishy folk, since property in general and additions to your home in particular are a feature of your stars. It is those of you with birthdays on or near 23 February or with planets between 4 and 7 degrees of the mutable signs, that have the most to win and lose in 2014. Neptune could produce miracles or make mincemeat of your plans. Continue to believe in your dreams, but get those plans in black and white, and please don’t trust verbal promises. A happy development could be on the cards in late February and/or mid-March, and these are times to put ideas into action or to celebrate a special event. Late August and mid-September, on the other hand, are volatile.
You’re a sucker for a hard-luck story, and you can put up with any amount of hassle from the person you love, but at some point you end up feeling used and abused. And to find real happiness this pattern has to stop. If you start a new love relationship this year, which well you might, don’t sacrifice your likes and needs for the partner’s; do not do too much and do not ignore any warning signs that your loved one is not all he or she claims to be. Especially if you have a late February birthday, you are prone to the rose-coloured glasses syndrome. Yes, you may fall deeply and deliriously in love, but you must be alert to lies and deception. And if you’re in a long-term relationship, prepare to be firm with a partner who is failing to deliver, whether in a physical, emotional or financial way. You deserve better. April is a key month for romantic developments: if you meet someone then, he or she could be the love of your life. September is another month in which major romantic developments can occur.
We’ve talked about 2014 being a building year, and where your career is concerned it is vital that you do not cut corners or leave it too long before making moves intended to strengthen your position or take you where you want to go. If you see signs of problems, confront them immediately. Pisceans are suited to careers in the healing and helping industries, and in creative fields, but you can get stuck in subsidiary positions which stifle your energies and talents, and make you miserable. With Jupiter’s passage through the work zone from July 2014 – August 2015 your work-load will increase and there will be opportunities for you to take the lead, even find fame. Be confident about your abilities and don’t settle for second best. By showing you mean business employers, partners and investors will help you succeed. Uranus continues to influence money matters so expect income to fluctuate - unexpected gains and losses are all part of this planet’s experience. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
