Love is a serious business to Capricorn. You have learned from experience that nothing comes easily: you must earn your rewards, and, fortunately, you have tremendous patience and persistence. And relationships are no exception to this life rule: you know that marriage is a working partnership, and that you are building an edifice that must last years, therefore you are prepared to do without the sparks as long as you have stability and solidity.
With me so far? Or have I missed something?
You see, the celestial Goat has a fish's tail, which links her to the watery world of feelings. Thus, you are as capable as any woman of being downed by the thunderbolt of love, which is why your common sense and innate caution are no bulwark against lust and unsuitable men. You make your share of mistakes, although, happily, you do learn from them.
Another hallmark of Capricorn is the reliance on tried and trusted methods, and the tendency to put duties and responsibilities before self-fulfilment. You can put marriage on hold because of your career, a relative's needs or countless other factors that you consider to be more important, and you are terrified to take a risk, yet you yearn to love and be loved, and wonder why so many other women appear to be able to have it all.
What will help is placing a greater importance on your feelings. Your rational approach to life works well in your career and with the material world, but when it comes to relationships you have to go with your heart. Don't be afraid to reveal your sensitivity and express your needs: at the end of the day, what matters more - that you did the right thing or that you found joy, and in the process made someone else very happy too? Underneath that efficient, capable exterior is a woman of passion and abandon. Please let her out.
If you want to reel in a Capricorn man, don't go wearing a nine-inch skirt, a bustier and your stilettos. You'll get his attention, all right, but he'll immediately pop you into the available and very temporary category, while continuing to keep his eye out for the future mother of his children. This man has taste: he is upwardly mobile, and needs a wife who will help him up the ladder of success. He is a truly horny old Goat too - he has a large sexual appetite, which invariably lasts well into old age but he won't be influenced by it when it comes to marriage. Mr Capricorn is often to be found keeping a low profile: he doesn't like drawing attention to himself. He has a dry humour and quiet way of maintaining absolute control. He's faithful and long-suffering too. However, if you're looking for fun, spontaneity, generosity and intimacy, stop right there: he's not for you.
You like what you know, what you are familiar with, and in this instance this means having a relationship with another Cardinal sign - Aries, Libra, and Cancer. Libra, Mr. Style and Sophistication, is your top dog: this man is so smooth you forget all your rules about maintaining control and looking for the really worthwhile qualities in the opposite sex - you just drool and come to heel. And even though you may end up wanting more substance in the relationship, you can sustain a long and happy union. Mr Aries is dream boat number two - daring, dashing, boyish and in need of your sense and sensibleness. However, this is one of the great love affairs, and does not translate well into marriage. With the Cancer man it's a case of opposites attracting - he brings out your soft and sentimental side, the sex is great, and you'll stay together through thick and thin, happy or miserable. Another Capricorn is also a good partner: this is a very safe relationship, although, if you do separate, neither of you takes prisoners. Scorpio and Pisces are two other signs with whom you can find happiness, stability - even passion.

As the great architect of the zodiac, Capricorn knows all about laying strong foundations, which is all the more frustrating when those things you have built to last start to crumble. The blame can be laid at the feet of Uranus, currently stationed at the base of your horoscope and affecting the roots of life. The point is, you need new input and fresh avenues for your talents and interests. Keep this in mind towards the end of March and late June, when both Uranus and Pluto will be forcing change at an accelerated level. Some Capricorns could be moving house – moving country even – others will have family members moving away from home base, and for a few there will be new arrivals to welcome into the fold, whether by birth or marriage. Another key period for your affairs appears in early to mid-April, and should you make a life-defining decision then, know that you have the cosmos behind you. In keeping with the time of year, the spring is all about new starts, and surprising ones at that.
The spring puts Venus in the work zone so unless you are doing the work of love your focus could be more on your job and material interests. However, Jupiter continues to highlight the zone of romance, which could make for some very happy events in Capricorn land. Take the period of 5th -17th March, for instance, and the 11th -17th May. December birthdays have Pluto and Uranus generating huge peaks and troughs in life in general and relationships in particular, and to a certain extent you must have a fatalistic attitude as to who comes and goes. If it’s meant to be, nothing will damage your relationship. In this regard the weekends of 7th April and 5th May could prove pivotal. You are in a very interesting phase of life, one where deep-seated shifts occurring within your psyche are manifesting as unsettling, and sometimes exhilarating, events in your external world.
Saturn’s passage through the career area of your horoscope works in two ways: it either adds to your responsibilities by elevating you to a position of influence or it makes the whole business of earning a living very dispiriting indeed. There are but seven more months to go before Saturn moves on elsewhere so this trend will be at a peak during the spring - take for example the mid-April and late June periods when Saturn delivers a verdict of some description. These are excellent times to make big decisions about a job and where your best interests lie. Now you have lost the influence of Neptune on finances, you should be seeing improvements. That sense of never being sure whether a deal will come off or if you have enough for a major item of expenditure will soon be replaced by feelings of confidence. Indeed, should you want to make an investment in your future, make a bold move on or near 7th March or 11th May.
