The Week Ahead for Gemini

The times they are a-changing. On 3 February, Neptune arrives at the Mid-heaven of your solar chart, subtly shifting the shape and content of your life. You may already have begun to question the value of material rewards - embracing planet-saving policies or helping ease the plight of the suffering – and in the process your priorities are changing. Things of the heart and the spirit take precedence. Even bigger changes will follow in the coming years, as you simplify your existence. This having been said, with Jupiter’s entry into Gemini (11 June) the following twelve months are ones of expansion. You’ll see a lot more of your world, in terms of travel and experience, and you’ll add to your reputation, even have your 15 minutes of fame. Put a ring around these dates: 19th February, 20th May and 28 November for it is at these times the potential for dreams to manifest or for fate to step in and change your course is at its strongest.

2012 sees yet more eclipses highlighting the zone of relationships, so this is another year when sudden and unexpected events affect your love life. This year, however, the effects of Venus transiting your sign for almost five months (3rd April – 7th August) and Jupiter’s presence in Gemini could prove magic. This is the time to fall in love, marry or remake your vows, and the new moon of 19 June looks to be highly significant here. Clearly, there will be some Geminis for whom the path of true love continues to be somewhat stony but these beautiful influences could work instead on you. By which I mean you will discover the great truth in the notion that you have to love yourself in order to find love with someone else. If a relationship appears to cool or experiences a downturn in mid-May, distance could be the very thing to set matters to right. As you know, you can never lose someone who is your destiny, and by the end of June you’ll have your answer.

As I mentioned earlier, Neptune is affecting your goals and priorities, and during the next few years many Geminis are going to give up their chosen profession and channel their talents in directions they feel to be more fulfilling, possibly altruistic, healing or artistic avenues. Especially if you have a May birthday, 2012-2014 brings many life changes, some of which are a product of the global economic situation and others inspired by your needs and desires. Jupiter’s passage through your sign (11 June, 2012 – 25 June, 2013) is a blessing. Make your boldest moves and stock-pile resources because you will not get such opportunities again – at least for another decade. Try to become as self-sufficient as you can: not every institution – banking or commercial – is going to survive 2012, and not every promise will be kept. Don’t leave those big decisions too late. It would be good to have your ducks in a row by mid-October.
