The Week Ahead for Capricorn

One step at a time, and you’ll get there. In a way, this is always Capricorn’s strategy but these last couple of years have tested the most stalwart Goat, and you could be forgiven for doubting your judgement and your gifts. Set your sights on 2013 for the glittering prizes but 2012 is a more rewarding and productive year than the last two. It is no use clinging onto the past: whether you like it or not, people and patterns will fade from your life, and such events serve a much bigger purpose than you may appreciate at first. You know, deep in your heart, certain roads have come to an end, and events on or near 9th January, 15th July, 29th September and 26th December act as springboards to a new and brighter phase. Some Capricorns will be welcoming new arrivals into the family, whether by birth or marriage, and others will embark on an ambitious venture with friends; indeed one of 2012’s main trends is creativity in all its forms.

One of the pluses to a Jupiter transit of the fifth house is that it opens up the heart chakra. You may already have fallen profoundly in love or experienced a deepening connection with a partner but if not 2012 holds just such possibilities. Not only Jupiter but also Pluto and Uranus have the capacity to awaken you to the stirrings of your own heart so you should not be surprised if big changes occur in long-standing relationships. Remember, endings and beginnings are present in all areas of your life. Late June, mid-July and mid-August are times of both joy and turmoil but as long as you remain true to your heart, the right outcome will occur. It is said that we do not choose the people with whom we fall in love, but at some level we do. Whether you believe in karma or the power of the mind, we draw our lovers towards us. And if there is one thing that will become abundantly clear to you in 2012, it is this.

June begins one of the best phases for work of the last ten years. You may have more work than you can handle or you will get the appreciation and fulfilment you have been seeking. And if you’ve been job-hunting, you should find the perfect niche for your talents – late April/early May could prove pivotal here. Not every Capricorn is going to have a charmed life as far as career and finance go, but the potential for progress and success is high, and it may take a radical shake-up to get you on the right path. Especially if you have a birthday between 26th and 30th December, your life-direction is subject to some extraordinary highs and lows and unexpected U-turns. With the global economy in such a state of flux, you cannot rely on old institutions to keep delivering: spread your borrowing, think outside the box and act as soon as signals and signs appear.
