The Month Ahead for Capricorn

Rising to the occasion is May’s mighty theme. You may already know you have people to impress and occasions to live up to, but there could be unexpected events that call on your strength of character and ingenuity. Never shy of hard work and grown-up actions the first week puts you to the test: it is both a time to make a big commitment and to recognize when a situation is done and dusted. However, you can take a holiday from reality for the rest of the month. The accent is on pleasure and pursuits that make your heart sing, and for some Capricorns wedding bells are to be heard. Certainly the solar eclipse of the 10th comes with the message that new life is springing into being, whether this translates as babies on their way, entrepreneurial ventures in the pipeline or important relationship developments.

Easter represents both an ending and a beginning – a cliché, I know, but true nonetheless. Whether or not this already makes sense to you, late March and early April set in motion a new cycle of life. Capricorn is the architect of the zodiac and this next quarter should find you in your element building for the future: a process that will flow through many aspects of your existence from home and career to family and relationships.

You may be adding to the family whether in the way of bricks and mortar or new people, and saying goodbye to others who are now ready for an independent life.

Not everything is black and white; not every decision final – something to bear in mind especially on or near 12 April. May, with its solar and lunar eclipses, could make for changes of scene and a surprise turns of events. As for the weekend of 22 June, a celebration is in order.

On 26 June, generous Jupiter will enter the zone of relating for a year’s transit – a transit which could preside over many Capricorn weddings and positive relationship developments. You should view these next three months as a period in which to find emotional closure, and also to prepare inwardly and outwardly for a fresh start.

Partners may come to you with ideas that you will instinctively want to reject, but think again, because these suggestions could reboot your relationship in the best of ways. Venus will be in the relationship zone throughout June, making this a stellar month for unexpected romantic interludes and for engagements and weddings.

Clearly, we haven’t lost the Uranus-Pluto effect, which is strong over Easter and mid-June, so as soon as you start thinking nothing will ever change, get on your marks! .

With Uranus stationed in the domestic zone, home and family take the top spot when it comes to the unforeseen and the unusual. For some Capricorns financial circumstances or developments related to members of the family could inspire a change of location which in turn will necessitate finding a new job.

This quarter is an excellent period for the sale and purchase of property and for job-seeking. Also, should you be feeling that a job is in jeopardy or you are not fulfilling your potential, now is the time to spread your net wider and to take every opportunity to network.

The prospects for business partnerships are becoming better and better, and an offer arising on or near 10 May should be taken seriously. While there may be individual Capricorns who make big gains and losses, finances remain on an even, if unsatisfactory, keel.
