Pisces - The Year Ahead*

GENERAL

2008 started out on a whole new note so already you may have experienced some important changes and, if not, the alignments of mid-July, late August and mid-September could set you heading in a new direction. The combination of unpredictable Uranus in your own sign and hard-nosed Saturn in the opposite has the effect of giving you wings but anchoring you to the ground, so your progress is in fits and starts. In this regard the late August-early September period is worth watching and waiting for – a welcome release and breakthrough for some and a major hold-up for others. You may not feel particularly outgoing this summer, preferring to be with those to whom you are close and focusing on things of a personal nature. It is a time of preparation and reparation.

LOVE

Venus, the bringer of love, will be transiting the zone of relating during August coinciding in some cases with an already planned special date and auguring in others a new romance. August is a time when the good, the bad and the painful in a relationship will be brought to the surface through unexpected events. Indeed, a decision that was avoided in late February/March must now be addressed and in general what happened some six months earlier has a bearing on both August's and September's developments. Saturn's presence in the seventh house gives rise to karmic relationships and the working out of joint karma: valuable lessons can be learned and inhibiting patterns overcome. So, to a certain extent you have to bow to forces greater than the wishes of the small-self.

WORK AND FINANCE

With so much going on in your personal life, work really needs to take a back seat. However, once again August and September emerge as an extremely dynamic and transformational period for your career, for which you should prepare accordingly. People who have made promises to you may not fulfil them and circumstances way beyond anyone's control could affect the future of a job and necessitate some financial cut-backs. In most cases these developments will represent an inconvenience rather than a crisis but some Pisceans need a wake-up call – your talents cannot be squandered and it is essential you get on course for the success you deserve.

HOME AND LIFESTYLE

Remember those words, preparation and reparation? They must be your bywords for the summer. Even with a tough schedule you need to find time to relax and repair your tattered mind, body and spirit. This theme may well be brought home to you by a friend's health problem and if you're travelling, take your first-aid kit and and a set of key telephone numbers. July is the most enjoyable month of this quarter – you'll meet fun people at social events and if you like competitive sports and games you'll excel. I wouldn't normally recommend gambling but you can afford to take a chance during the first week of July. As for the family: just for a change stop being a slave and learn to delegate – the summer's happiness could rest on everyone pulling together as a team.
