GENERAL

It's time to put the past behind you and begin a new mantra: life is good. And this is not just a matter of perception. There will be clear evidence of positive change and while you have suffered betrayals and disappointments, gradually you will get your faith back in human nature. There will be gifts and beautiful moments. Part of the process of recovery may involve dropping someone from your life but while in the past you might have quailed at such an act you now have the strength to make hard choices. There could be some new and unexpected arrivals in the family - either by birth or marriage - and these can be seen as symbols of the new era you are stepping into. February and September are the outstanding months of 2010.

LOVE

It's taken twelve long years for Jupiter to make its way around to the relationship zone so on 18 January set out that welcome wagon. You are looking at a year of major romantic developments and even if you don't fall madly in love or take your vows good people will enter your life and make a huge and positive difference to it. 2010 is the year to marry and to make big plans for the future - the weekend of 27 February could prove pivotal to your happiness; it's also the time to rewrite a relationship script. You tend to play victim/saviour in your relationships: you overcompensate for a partner's failures and deficiencies then feel abused by their behaviour, and it is a pattern that can be changed now. Believe in yourself, believe in love, and you will find it.

MONEY AND WORK

Even though 2010 is a turn-around-year for Virgo, finances may be slow to respond to the new regime. One step at a time is the way forward, and you may still run into some problems with financial institutions, property transactions and getting people to pay what they owe you. Self-sufficiency has been a big theme for a while and if you haven't yet sought ways to grow your own produce or make money from your home-sown efforts, this is the year to put the theory into practice - late May and mid-August are both times when speculation equals accumulation. You're also going to find that when it comes to job progress, people either love you or hate you, which is why there is no point trying to please all the people all of the time: go at your ambitions with all guns blazing.
