Your reputation as the 'cheerful chappy' has been difficult to maintain recently but with Jupiter's move to the base of your chart growth starts at the roots of life and spreads upwards, ultimately filtering into all areas. Events throughout the year will add to your sense of well-being, although it is your positive attitude to life's hurdles that has sped and will continue to facilitate the process of recovery. Many of the most pleasing developments happen on home turf and in regard to the family but romance and creative endeavours also boost your morale. Nonetheless. 2010 is a tough year for the planet so there will be anxious moments and one of those hurdles to surmount - late March and mid-December look trying to say the least. But these are little patches in an otherwise vastly improved year.

You always have a choice as to whether you follow your desires or rise above them, and this thought could come in handy during the summer. A brief and passionate fling could be on the agenda but once those feet come back down to earth there will be a reckoning. Late December birthdays and those with planets towards the end of Sagittarius face the biggest relationship changes, and the total eclipse of 21 December could precipitate a wedding or a separation. Long-standing relationships will benefit from a holiday and/or joint activities and a ceremony to remake your vows could bring back the magic. Sagittarians forming new relationships may find that their love comes with appendages - step-children and exes - but with a powerful element of fate working in your love life, this could be one choice over which you'll experience no conflict whatsoever.

One of the reasons your professional life has soared from the sublime to the seriously sad has been the Saturn-Uranus opposition but with Saturn's move into Libra last October a more settled phase has begun.
