GENERAL

There are times when you're free to be an independent spirit but the summer isn't one of them. Other people - their needs, feelings and agendas - come first, so enjoy being in the passenger seat of life for a while. Special anniversaries may lie ahead and the family will have much to share in the way of news and plans. The summer could prove expensive too, perhaps because of a last minute change to holiday arrangements or unexpected developments far from home. You may also be demonstrating how generous you are to the people you love. Pluto packs his powerful punch at the beginning and end of August and late September, and others may be surprised at how far the normally cautious Goat is prepared to go for the things she cares about. These are also dates around which some of the biggest decisions of the year are made.

LOVE

With so many diverse influences affecting your love life the summer is full of romantic ups and downs. The total solar eclipse of 22nd July falls in the zone of relating and, especially if you have a birthday on or near 4th or 18th January, destiny could be about to strike. (And whenever your birthday, this eclipse ushers in a powerful new cycle for love and relationships.) Destiny could manifest in the form of a love affair that will change your life course or a development in a partner's life that will alter the shape and texture of your relationship. This eclipsed new moon could also signal marriage or divorce - as with many factors in astrology eclipses are double-edged swords. Plus, with Pluto in your sign, you are consciously or unconsciously being drawn towards people who and experiences that take you to the stars - and back!

WORK AND MONEY

On paper at least, 2009 is a good year for money, so even if you have had some financial upsets, the actions you're taking in consequence will set you on a firm path. And, of course, there are six months left of the year for money matters to seriously turn around. Luck plays a big part too, whether your face just fits the picture job-wise or you receive a windfall. Should you be thinking of starting a business or beginning a training course the periods on or near 10th July, 13th August and 10th September are brilliant. At the end of October Saturn, your ruler, will reach the Mid-heaven of your solar chart thus beginning one of the most important transits of the last seven years: between then and the end of 2012 you may achieve your greatest ambition and you will certainly have opportunities to show the world what you can do.
