DIANA, IN MEMORIAM It is ten years ago precisely that Diana, The Princess of Wales died. And in memory of her life and death I thought it appropriate to include a few thoughts here on Astrolutely.com. They come in the form of a chapter in my book, Starstruck.

| Cancer - The Year Ahead* |
1st January 2008 - 31st December 2008
GENERAL
Celebrations are in order. With Jupiter in your opposite sign since late last year, increase and abundance should have been much in evidence already. At the very least you should have found the courage to go after what you want and to stand up for your rights and needs, and from this will come success a little further down the line. You may also have discovered that you are not alone: people have shown their support for you and the alliances you have formed, and those to come, will stand you in good stead over many years. You are at your personal best this summer: you are in charge of your life and overseeing more than one important event. Mid-July and early September are the most dynamic periods and there is an aura both of opportunity and liberation at these times.
LOVE
July opens with Venus in your sign and romance in the ascendant. This is one of the most harmonious periods of 2008 and even if you're not madly in love and preparing to tie the knot, acting from the heart will make even the most difficult relationship easier. This is a premium year for marriage and adding to your joys as a couple, and if you find new love this summer, it could be the stuff of a lifetime's happiness. (Don't be surprised if the sign of Sagittarius proves irresistible.) August, however, is a trying month all round and for a few Cancerians events occurring on or near the 1st or 15th could turn out to be the final straw for a relationship in trouble.
WORK AND FINANCE
Your career may not be in the spotlight during the next three months, although events of the January-March period could come to fruition in the summer. In many ways, this is a season to focus on things close to home and to nurture yourself and your image. Nonetheless, if you can combine business and pleasure you may find that promotion and upwardly mobile moves will be on offer in the autumn/winter. The eclipses of August fall on the financial axis of your solar chart so an unexpected windfall or unforeseen expenditure could be on its way. This is not a month to expect an easy ride: monetary institutions and partners will be tough to deal with and, if you're coming out of a job or a marriage anticipate tough negotiations.
HOME AND LIFESTYLE
This is a precious time for family life. You should pack in as many family activities as possible because you will look back at summer '08 in years to come as a most special period. An end of an era, even. Eclipses auger entrances and exits, whether we're talking new babies, house moves or teenagers leaving the nest, and somehow you'll be starting the autumn with a clean slate. You may find yourself taking on the role of spokesman for a situation involving the family or the neighbourhood and you might well have to give a speech at a special occasion. Certainly, your voice is going to be heard this summer and you'll add greatly to your bank of knowledge.
