This is a week for the memory books. Whether events in your own life or in the lives of others are a source of wonder, these influences are what can only be described as groundbreaking. Especially if you have a July birthday or planets and points around one degree of the fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio) what happens at this time may have its roots in January. Certainly, the past is coming into the present and at the very least inspiring you to reconsider a decision you made some months ago. Many Leos are also now discovering who are their supporters and who their enemies.

Can a solar eclipse eclipse a Leo? Never. But it can have an impact on your life, especially if it connects with your natal chart. Monday’s solar eclipse falls in the area of far horizons, marking the beginning of a journey, whether in the way of knowledge and experience or, quite literally, a journey of a thousand miles or more. While for many Leos this eclipse will have the effect of opening up new territory in the best of ways, with Mars and Saturn in the mix, not everyone is going to be feeling the joy. What is hidden in the shadow of an eclipse, however, has many moons to reveal itself. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Mercury turns retrograde on the first of the month, encouraging you to look to the past for answers and direction. This planet of movement and communication may not exactly speed your course, but this doesn’t mean you can’t achieve your objectives and arrive at satisfactory conclusions. Surprises and opportunities come in equal quantities with some Leos experiencing a long-awaited breakthrough and others having the courage to do what they should have done months, if not years, ago. The Year Ahead for Leo
